Jumpsuit's Direct-to-Client Model

When we started Jumpsuit, we immediately cut out the middlemen (namely AMs and PMs) to allow clients to work directly with the ones doing the work. We put producers at the helm of each project because a producer knows how to lead clients, lead teams, and roll up their sleeves and get shit done themselves. It was a beautiful model. And still is. Especially in a time where AI empowered humans are going to be working with AI assistants to do most of the future work. Producers are perfectly positioned for this.
This got us thinking. What if the best way to stay relevant as an agency is to come up with an offering that allows clients to... cut out the agency? After all, isn't an agency also a middleman?
To be fair, we deeply understand the value of an agency. When clients need an external team to bring expertise to the table, agencies can outperform internal teams all day.
But clients don't always need an agency, do they? (And oftentimes, their budgets don't warrant one.) So, this year, Jumpsuit will be building infrastructure via Jauntboards to make it easy for clients to get connected the perfect freelancer for the job they need done. That means, we need updated information about you: Things like – do you even want to participate in this model? Sometimes freelancers like having a middleman so they can focus on doing the work.
Are we clear on your superpowers and background, so we can matchmake you to the perfect opportunity? Etc.
So make sure to fill out the form in the email, as we're going to use our Program Managers AND AI to make sure we're matching folks up right. Now, we can compete with Saatchi AND Fiverr.
To hear more about the big picture, we made you a video.
It'll also provide a POV on our expectation for our network to independently be teaching themselves AI. If you're someone who hates AI and refuses to work with it, we're not saying there won't be work for you. We still need human magic. But we anticipate more and more work going to individuals who know how to let AI take a first pass at things while pulling in the right humans to brilliantly land the plane.
So, go fill out that form. Until Jauntboards releases its MatchMaking AI update, we'll begin rolling out this program over the next month manually. Stay tuned! Nicole
